Web Technologies & Development
Working with the Web
Working with web content at any level increasingly requires an understanding of a range of technologies such as XHTML, CSS, XML, PHP, ASP and JavaScript (and the matching list of acronyms!). High-quality solutions often rely on the succesful integration of these technologies with specialist applications, such as bespoke database systems to produce a fully integrated, dynamic web site.
When you add in the demands for standards-compliance and the need to meet legislative requirements, it may seem like there is a bewildering array of factors to consider when publishing web content, which can turn starting from scratch into a daunting prospect! Alternatively, keeping on top of new developments can often seem frustrating and time-consuming – especially if you are not sure just how much you need to know about the latest hot topic.
