Online Success With Suffolk ACL

Name of organisation

Suffolk County Council, Adult and Community Learning Section.

Participants

A number of ACL tutors from a range of subject areas, plus some tutors from FE Colleges in the region.

About the workshops

Following a taster session as part of a county training day in March, Netskills delivered a further two days of its specially designed 'Online learning for Adult and Community Learning' workshop in Lowestoft and Bury St Edmunds in June.

Benefits

The workshops gave participants a chance to explore online learning resources in a range of subject areas, create their own quizzes, blogs and online courses, and examine the pros and cons of online communication. The participants welcomed the opportunity to explore ACL-specific resources and create their own, particularly as none of them had done this before. Blogs, webquests and learning platforms are no longer a mystery, and they now feel enthused to try their skills out further - you can read their thoughts on the workshop blog.

Annie Moldram, Curriculum Manager (ILT) with Suffolk ACL, said, "It's lovely to see how the Netskills workshops have motivated tutors to try out new ideas with their learners."
