The Project

This project funded by JISC and in collaboration with UCISA is implementing the recommendations of the earlier feasibility study on attitudes to Continuing Professional Development and accreditation.

Project Aims

The project aims are to develop a framework and toolkit to help support the ICT education community understand the CPD landscape and find practical ways to link their skills, development and qualifications.

Outputs

As part of the project, a "skills matrix" has been developed, consisting of work area categories and sub-categories, with a corresponding skill and assignment or mapping to a level of competency. This is used in conjunction with tools and guidance for using the framework, including elements such as qualifications providers, recognizing and recording CPD activity and linking to job descriptions.
