Very good course, informed as it stated it would. Well balanced and informative.
One of the best and most useful courses I've been on in a long time. Thanks.
Very important for teachers to know so many possibilities exist.
In 2006 the Eduserv Foundation awarded Netskills two grants to fund pilot workshop programmes related to information literacy in the schools sector. Findings from the two projects, which were funded as part of the Eduserv Information Literacy Initiatives, are now available.
Exploring and Deterring Plagiarism in Schools
This pilot workshop programme, led by Lucy Keating, was held in four locations around Britain in Autumn 2006. It aimed to find out more about attitudes and approaches to plagiarism in schools, whilst also offering guidance and advice to those attending.
The programme built on Netskills' highly successful Detecting and Deterring Plagiarism workshop for universities and colleges, which was developed in collaboration with the JISC Plagiarism Advisory Service.

Information Skills for Teachers
Netskills recently ran an information skills programme for HE/FE which involved the development of an information skills self-assessment and delivery of a programme of workshops using this self-assessment and exploring issues and skills with participants.
This project, led by Helen Blanchett , made use of material and infrastructure developed as part of that programme to investigate the information skills of staff within schools. An online survey into teachers' information use was followed up by interviews. This research informed the development of the pilot workshop. Two workshops were piloted in North-East England, with secondary school teachers as the primary target.
