Trialling of online collaborative tools for BCE

The Trialling of Collaborative Online Tools for BCE project enhanced and empowered BCE collaboration among practitioners, between institutions, and between institutions and external partners, through the testing and piloting of selected web technologies. Eight trials took place in a variety of different BCE contexts. The contexts included lifelong learning, collaboration within and across regions, international businesses involved in curriculum delivery, a community of practice, and Knowledge Transfer Networks.

The project, now complete, was led by JISC infoNet with Will Allen from Netskills an integral member of the project management team.

Trial partners involved in the project were: University of the Arts, Birmingham Metropolitan College, University of Glamorgan, University of Huddersfield, Knowledge House, University of Leeds, New College Swindon and Northumbria University.

Collaborative Online Tools for Business and Community Engagement - infoKit launched

December 2010 saw the launch of a new infoKit (online resource), synthesising the outputs from the project and examining the use of collaborative online tools to support the interactions between further and higher education and their business and community partners.
