e-Learning Fundamentals: BTEC Award Learn how to confidently create pedagogically sound e-learning

Delivered over 2 days, this unique workshop teaches the principles behind the design and development of competent e-learning solutions, which can be applied to a range of services and sectors.

The workshop is an intensive training experience. The number of places will be limited to allow you to work through your own specific e-learning issues and questions with the Consultant Trainer and complete the work required for your qualification.

You will complete a number of short practical assessments, receive feedback and support, and by the end of the workshop, will have completed the qualification, subject to final verification.

The workshop covers all the curriculum requirements of the Professional Development Award, made up of two specialist units:

Design e-Learning

This unit considers strategies and techniques for the design of effective e-learning. It employs a practical, problem-solving approach to designing pedagogically aligned e-learning across diverse levels of learning and teaching. It aims to develop skills in planning and design that will allow subsequent development and implementation processes to be more efficient and more likely to meet their goals. Full unit description.

Develop e-Learning

This unit examines the evaluation of e-learning resources and aligning them with the desired learning levels and outcomes. It aims to develop an understanding of how to discover, select and blend resources to meet learning goals under modern presures to re-use existing content or incorporate content produced externally.
