Dreamweaver: The Essentials

10:00 Wednesday 17 November - 16:00 Thursday 18 November 2010
150 Southampton Row,Premier IT Group, London

Dreamweaver is a popular software package incorporating tools for web page creation and web site control and management. This 2-day workshop delivers an essential guide to the core features for the creation, formatting, management and updating of web page content.

Topics:

  • HTML, the Web and Dreamweaver
  • Creating and editing web pages using Dreamweaver
  • Working with style sheets in Dreamweaver
  • Content management with Dreamweaver Templates
  • Reusable content with Library Items and Code Snippets
  • Site configuration and asset management
  • Tracking and updating content
  • Dreamweaver site checking tools

Who is it for?

This is a practical 2-day workshop for those would like to create their own web pages and use the Dreamweaver site management features to organise and develop their web site. It is suitable for anyone, including those with some web publishing experience who are new to web authoring software, changing authoring tools or upgrading from older versions of Dreamweaver.

This workshop is suitable for beginners; however a basic understanding of web publishing, HTML and CSS - for example, to the level covered in the Netskills workshop Web Pages from Scratch would be useful - but is not essential. Participants are expected to be comfortable with using Microsoft Windows to open and close files and applications.
