Federated Access Management: Core Skills for Service Providers

10:00 Wednesday 10 September - 16:15 Thursday 11 September 2008
Euston House, London

28/08/2008 - IMPORTANT UPDATE: Unfortunately this workshop has had to be re-scheduled. You can book now for places on the workshop running on the 30th-31st October (same venue).

Check the JISC-SHIBBOLETH mailing list(s) for the first news about the rescheduled dates.

There are FREE, JISC-funded places available on this workshop for publishers and JISC community institutions who are working within the UK federation (one place per organisation). See the booking form for details.

Federated Access Management (FAM) offers a secure, scalable and user friendly environment for organisations to manage web access to their resources. This two-day workshop, developed with JISC funding, addresses the core technical skills and practical steps required to act as a Service Provider (SP) within the UK Access Management Federation.

Participants will have the opportunity to see the systems working for real and examine the components that make them work - as well as exploring examples of current best practice. They should also leave able to make informed choices about how they can progress and aware of the expectations of the UK federation community, along with the support it can provide.
