Who is it for?

This is a practical 2-day workshop for those would like to create their own web pages and use the Dreamweaver site management features to organise and develop their web site. It is suitable for anyone, including those with some web publishing experience who are new to web authoring software, changing authoring tools or upgrading from older versions of Dreamweaver.

This workshop is suitable for beginners; however a basic understanding of web publishing, HTML and CSS - for example, to the level covered in the Netskills workshop Web Pages from Scratch would be useful - but is not essential. Participants are expected to be comfortable with using Microsoft Windows to open and close files and applications.

By the end of the workshop participants will have:

  • Created web pages using Dreamweaver
  • Included images, tables and hyperlinks in their web pages
  • Created and used style sheets for formatting and presentation
  • Used various techniques to control and manage page content
  • Created and used re-usable web page components and assets
  • Used a range of built-in tracking and checking tools
