Web Page Creation using Software Tools

Unit Number: NW04

Programme Value: 30 Credits

Offered Under: Award, Certificate and Diploma in Web Development

Overview

The creation and maintenance of web pages using just a text editor can quickly become an unwieldy task. Modern web authoring tools (such as Macromedia Dreamweaver) can offer WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editing, style sheet creation and global content checking tools. These, combined with a sound understanding of basic web authoring technologies will enable you to speed up and simplify many routine operations and create sophisticated web pages.

This unit is centred around the page creation functionality typically provided by current web authoring software.
