Netskills partners Northumberland National Park in pilot mobile project

Drawing upon expertise in digital storytelling, web development and project management, Netskills is piloting a new mobile project with Northumberland National Park.

The Park in your Pocket project will create a mobile visitor website including digital stories about the rich history and diverse nature surrounding Hadrian’s Wall. The pilot locations include Walltown and Cawfields.

The project is headed by Consultant Trainer and national park Volunteer Ranger Simon Fitzpatrick while Consultant Trainer Chris Thomson is leading the development of the digital stories.

The team is completed by Anthony Gladdish and Hanna Miettinen who are using their interface and graphic design skills to develop the site.

Simon is delighted to be involved in the project.

We all have special connections with the region so it’s great to be able to use our expertise to create engaging mobile sites for the national park, he said.

It’s always great to combine business with pleasure - I'm looking forward to our next project team meeting at Vindolanda!”
