Lisa Vincent, Netskills Training & Administration Co-ordinator, is looking to help administrative staff in the education sector to do more with less with web 2.0 tools.
Lisa has been working with the Staff Development Unit at Newcastle University to develop a workshop to share experiences and tips with administrators looking to take advantage of online technologies.
Encouraged by feedback from the pilot, which ran over two half days in January, Lisa is now developing the work further.
I feel there hasn't been any real hands-on advice for administrators 'in the field' to utilise these new web tools
, she said.
I'm looking to develop an online resource to provide information and advice about different tools and also a forum to share ideas and experience.
Lisa is currently working with the admin network within Newcastle University but feels there is 'scope for something bigger'.
In April she will share her work at the Association of University Administrators (AUA) Conference in Manchester.
I was really excited to have my conference proposal approved. It will be extremely useful and interesting to get feedback from a national audience.
