Netskills is providing the platform for the real-time element of the JISC Innovating e-Learning 2009 Online Conference. Keynote sessions, demonstrations and a virtual coffee shop will all be run using Elluminate, an online tool for web conferencing, teaching and collaboration.
We are providing support for all conference presenters moderating their session via Elluminate, ensuring that they are familiar with the Elluminate environment and that their equipment is set up in advance and any technical problems are overcome.
Additionally, Lisa Vincent is leading four pre-conference 'have a go' sessions, open to all conference delegates. These sessions showcase Elluminate, providing a full overview of the tool and allowing participants to experience it as both an attendee and as a moderator, leading a session.
Lisa says, "It's fantastic that JISC approached us at Netskills, asking us to support such a large, high-profile conference."
With over 300 participants already registered, this conference, taking place between 24-27 November 2009, is JISC’s fourth annual online conference. Sarah Knight, e-learning programme manager at JISC, says: “This year’s online conference is promising to be our best yet. We have a superb line-up of internationally recognised speakers in the world of e-learning with engaging content to stimulate some excellent discussion.”
