News: Improving information skills in secondary schools
Published Wednesday 15 April 2009 by Carl Vincent
Training materials to improve information skills in schools have just been released by Netskills. Material to support both the training of staff and the teaching of information skills to pupils are available.
The materials are an output from a recent project managed by Helen Blanchett of Netskills and funded by the Eduserv Foundation. The project also involved two pilot workshops that took place in the Autumn of 2008.
One workshop attendee commented, "I found the content valuable and encouraging in terms of getting to grips with information literacy in the context of the school library."
The final report for the project is also available.
