News: Netskills workshop featured on Teachers TV

A Netskills workshop features as part of a TV programme about plagiarism in secondary schools. Some of the show, broadcast on education specialist channel Teachers TV, was filmed during one of our workshops delivered as part of a plagiarism awareness programme.
"We attended the Netskills workshop to get an idea of the debate that is taking place within education," said Kieran McCarthy, who works for Real Life Media Productions who filmed the programme. "The workshop contained lively discussion and highlighted the complexity of this issue, whilst reinforcing the need for schools to consider their approach to plagiarism, among a generation where 'copy and paste' has become the norm."
Netskills trainer Helen Blanchett ran the workshop. She said, "It's great to see this issue being addressed by Teachers TV - it's important that good practice in avoiding plagiarism begins in schools. The attendees weren't fazed by the cameras and microphones and certainly got stuck into the discussions."
The programme, 'Plagiarism - A Cut and Paste Generation', is available to watch on the Teachers TV web site now and is broadcast live on Tuesday 13th January.
