News: Sláinte! Information skills workshops in good health

Netskills recently ran two workshops in Dublin for the Irish Health Sciences Libraries Group. Topics included using Web 2.0 technologies and advanced web searching, tailored to health librarians. Both workshops were oversubscribed and very well received.

Helen Blanchett, Netskills Consultant trainer, says, "Web 2.0 raises many issues for how individuals find, evaluate and manage their information - these workshops help library staff explore its potential and keep up to date."

David McNaughton, a librarian at Trinity College Dublin, organised the training on behalf of the Irish Health Sciences Libraries Group. He said,

"Working with Netskills was extremely beneficial and useful to our group. Helen is a great trainer, very knowledgeable and engaging. From first contact, Netskills were very professional and appreciated the specialist needs of our group."

David added, "Feedback from attendees was very positive and all expressed a willingness to attend further courses run by Netskills in the future."
