Enhance Learning with Technology workshop is a winner

Participants from over 30 higher and further education institutions recently took part in workshops investigating the use of technology to enhance learning, teaching and assessment. The workshops, facilitated by Netskills, formed part of the JISC/Academy programme to support academic staff.

Two free workshops were delivered in Oxford and Newcastle, with support from the JISC/Academy Collaboration team and focused on topics such as: mobile learning, e-portfolios, blogs and wikis, and the design of e-learning programmes.

Feedback from participants was excellent - one HE lecturer commented:

"The workshop was excellent, mainly due to the opportunity to practice and explore the topics covered."

Netskills also provided an online activity as part of the programme, consisting of web-based exercises exploring facilities that provide cross-searching of both JISC and Higher Education Academy resources.

Over 60 participants took part in the activity, each entered into a prize draw for a £100 Amazon voucher. The winner was Dr Alan Fielding, Senior Learning and Teaching Fellow at Manchester Metropolitan University who was presented with his prize by Carl Vincent from Netskills.
