Working with JISC

A wide variety of support services are available for projects and programmes. This section gives examples of current and previous work, and suggestions for how Netskills might support JISC in the future.

Programme Support Activities

A number of different types of activity can be provided to support programmes, ranging from dissemination of project and programme outputs, upskilling of staff, facilitation of events, advice and consultancy.

Current and Recent Projects

Web 2.0 Technologies for Business and Community Engagement
Programme: BCE
Netskills worked on two JISC-funded projects related to the Business and Community Engagement (BCE) sector within higher education. BCE, which is sometimes also referred to as 'Third Stream', covers a wide range of non teaching and research activities in higher education, including collaborative projects with local industry, public lectures, knowledge transfer, student placements, CPD and campus art galleries and theatres.
Podcasting for Project Dissemination
Programme: Users and Innovation
A workshop session for project teams to explore the potential uses of podcasting as a means of engaging their audience and disseminating project outputs.
Dissemination Technologies for Projects
Programme: e-Learning
A workshop session for projects in the HE in FE programme and others, looking at innovative use of technology for dissemination of project outputs.
E-Administration Think Tank
Programme: JOS Work Programme/e-Administration
Netskills designed and facilitated a national think tank event, gathering stakeholder input to the national e-Administration agenda.
